Good leadership is the ability to state your message, get others to buy into it and then lead them towards the now common goal. Great leadership means you also believe in that message. I have been to the Republican Party's website to check out their platform. I agree with a huge majority of it. It is a message in need of serious leadership. The current Republican Party leadership has failed miserably in their position. If the leaders do not believe in their own message, people will see this, and
they will not follow. Actions speak louder than words. The actions of the Republicans ANY time they get in power is the exact opposite of what their platform is. They have lost the trust of the people and need to be replaced by people who believe in the message. Only when the people see leaders who unapologetically believe in their message will they follow.
The Democrats, for all their faults, have leaders who believe in their message, AND ACT ON IT! People see this and follow. The Democrats have been consistent in their message over the years, that government is the answer to all problems, and have had a good chunk of the voters "buy into it". The 2008 election shows the results for both sides. The Democrats clobbered the Republicans.
What to do? Dump the current Republican leadership. All of it. Get new people in there that believe in the message, can communicate it to the people, and will ACT on it.
