With the east coast, from North Carolina to Maine, being slammed by a winter storm, you might begin to see the wisdom of being a "prepper". You know, someone who is preparing for when bad things happen? It will not necessarily be the end of the world as we know it, but it could be a few days or weeks without power or access to a grocery store because of a winter storm.
It used to be my initial thought when I heard about an approaching storm was to get to the store and stock up ASAP! With this latest storm I had the same initial reaction, then I realized I was already prepared!
So, take this storm as a wake-up call if you have not begun stocking up. You will be very glad you did.
